About the Oscar Thomas Foundation

Mission
The Oscar Thomas Foundation was quietly founded in 1997, by Nanci Thomas. Recognized as a nonprofit public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, the foundation was officially incorporated in 2001.
The mission of the Foundation is to empower communities through the arts, education, and community service. We are committed to helping individuals tap into the artist that lies within. We understand that everyone may not be able to create a masterpiece, but can be empowered and encouraged to become one.

Our Philosophy
The Oscar Thomas Foundation was established as a vehicle to perpetuate the memory of Oscar Thomas, his achievements and to carry on his dream of a better life for children, young adults and Senior Citizens through the arts, by helping them to understand that they are not only a unique work of art, but an equally valued member of society.

Also, central to our philosophy is promoting leadership by using art to encourage freedom of self-expression in the development of imagination and creativity.

The OTF is run by a team of professionals, advisors, artists, volunteers and friends, dedicated to furthering the vision of the organization.
